1. Who we are

DataFirst Logistics B.V. builds route- and fleet-optimization software. You can reach us at info@datafirstlogistics.com.

2. Use of YouTube API Services

Parts of our Services use YouTube API Services to publish our own original educational videos to our own YouTube channel. By using those features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Our use of information received from YouTube API Services adheres to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service, and we handle any Google user data in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

3. What data we access

We authenticate to our own YouTube channel via Google OAuth. Through the YouTube API we access only what is needed to upload and schedule our own videos. We do not access, collect, or store the personal data, channels, watch history, or content of any other YouTube users.

4. How we store and protect data

OAuth access and refresh tokens for our own channel are stored securely and used solely to upload our own content. We do not sell data, and we do not share YouTube-derived data with third parties except as required to provide the Services or by law.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain authorization tokens only for as long as needed to operate the upload feature. You can revoke our application's access to your Google account at any time via the Google security settings page (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions). To request deletion of any data we hold about you, email info@datafirstlogistics.com and we will delete it promptly.

6. Blog newsletter

If you sign up for new articles on our blog, we store your e-mail address, the page you signed up on and the date, and only after you confirm through the link we mail you. We use the address for nothing else and do not share it. Every mail has an unsubscribe link; after you unsubscribe we stop mailing you, and on request (info@datafirstlogistics.com) we delete the address entirely.

7. Requests, tools and alerts

When you send us a request (contact form, demo request, quick scan, an account), we receive what you type and, with it, a short description of your visit: where you came from (for example a search engine or LinkedIn), the page you landed on, the pages you viewed and which tools you used. This description is kept in your browser during the visit and is only sent together with a form you submit yourself. It never contains addresses, licence plates or anything else you typed into a tool.

The address check, the customer-list check and the licence-plate check run in your browser. Addresses and plates are looked up directly at the public services of the Dutch and Flemish governments and the RDW; we do not receive them. If you ask for a report by e-mail, we receive your e-mail address and the totals (for example how many addresses lie in a zone), not the list itself. One exception: for the fleet report (PDF) your licence plates are sent to our server once to build the PDF; we do not store them and our team only sees the totals.

Calculators can keep your inputs in the page address so a shared link shows the same result, and your browser remembers which calculator you used last and when (never sent to us), so a later visit can offer to pick it up again. A fleet size you pick on a sector page is put, in plain sight, in the note of the booking form. Optional questions after a request (fleet size, what concerns you most, how you found us) reach us only if you answer them. If you ask to be told when the rules on a page change, we store your e-mail address and that subject, and mail you only about it; every mail has an unsubscribe link.

8. Cookies

Our website may use essential cookies to function. We do not use YouTube API data for advertising.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
